Hi, I'm Sophie!
I help people living in overdrive to soothe their nervous system, by teaching them how to use their own body as a guide through Somatic movement, breath, and awareness, so they can release tension, find inner calm, avoid burnout - AND KEEP ACHIEVING THEIR GOALS!
I'm a qualified yoga teacher and massage therapist, with a background in the corporate world. I love to travel, I love to make things, do things, keep active, be independent.
I was always the one who "Gets Stuff Done".
I've always been a Do-er, a high-achiever. I'm also a serial crash-and-burner, stuck in the burnout loop for decades. For years I pushed through, over-riding my nervous system, pretending I was fine. I knew no different! Rest felt unnerving. Stillness felt like failure. So I kept on going the only way I knew how.
After a burnout of catastrophic proportions that left me with chronic fatigue, I learned the hard way that resting didn’t need to mean stopping, it meant doing things differently. I needed to learn how, because slowing down was completely unnatural to me. I was scared to slow down, then I was scared to get going again, unsure if my body was strong enough.
>>> Can you imagine waking up without a sense of dread or heaviness - emotional, physical, or otherwise?
Knowing what to do to help you keep going, instead of missing the cues... not noticing until it's too late?
Over the past few years I've learnt HUGELY transformative, very simple ways to work with my body instead of being at loggerheads with it. I'm busier and more productive now than I've been for years! I still get tired - of course! But I'm content; able to navigate life's ups and downs with a sense of ease, instead of lurching from one to the next with no control.
>>> I'm here to guide you so you can do the same.
Pretty amazing, huh? Let's make it your reality too!
